I think I would avoid Aruba.

Unless you have a specific destination in mind, I've been to Jamaica twice on 2 different cruises and it's a very dirty, nasty place. We took a "taxi" (aka a personal vehicle ride from a local) to the Doctors Beach (probably the nicest place we went in Jamaica). For all 4 of us was negotiated at $10.

Some other people from the cruse wasn't so lucky... They got on to a nice bus with the other tourists and paid $4.50/each person (what would have cost us $18)... but here's the kick... The whole bus was later ROBBED and what did the robbers steal?? US Passports!!

So the moral of the story isn't take a shady "taxi" in Jamaica, but to play it safe and be aware of your surroundings. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT TAKE YOUR PASSPORT IN JAMAICA. If you're not sure, as the cruise line pursers desk or someone on the boat BEFORE you get off.

Same goes with Haiti in my opinion.

By the way, http://TripSense.com is a very nice place. Thanks to the Admins or whoever set this place up... I've found some very good tips and information here! Kuddos to tripsense.com!
