I am going to Cozumel Mexico and would like advice on if I should buy excursions here or at the resort. Which would be better with pricing?

Online, in advance will insure your place on the tour and probably be the best deal, as well.

don't book anything online!!!! You will get screwed!!! You get far better deals by going there and bargaining with the locals. The locals are everywhere trying to sell you excursions.

I just returned from a resort in Mexico and looked into this in advance, too. Learned to wait till there and go thru the resort/concierge people. They often have great deals to offer and want you to have a great time while there and will go out of their way to help!

I was in Cozumel a few years back and will be there for a day next week on a cruise. If you are going to be there for at least a week, you are better off booking with the concierge...rent a jeep to get around the island...it's beautiful on the other side where there's ruff surf and a special NY margarita bar...I hope it's still there...the view is breathtaking...definitely go snorkeling at the planacar reef...you need no tour...just a ride to the site which is amongst the hotels and pay a small admission fee..I saw a parrot fish the size of a dog the minute I set foot in the water...ps buy some cheese whiz in a can if you can...the divers do that and all the beautiful angels and tangs come out for the special treat....watch the jewelry stores...unless you really know what you want..and know how to tell quality...the silver is stamped inside and if it's not above, I forget, but the concierge can give you the exact number, it's plated and will tarnish....beautiful vases, dishes, pictures...at great prices...but remember if you have to go back by plane your weight limitations.maybe I'll see you there next Thursday!
