By Robert Niles: If readers are interested, I'll plan to post on the final Thursday of each month the best current discounts that I've found on tickets to top theme parks. Feel free to post any additional discounts or promo codes that you know of, in the comments. (I'll update this listing as you post better deals.)
Universal Orlando
The best deals for Universal appear to be on the resort's own website: http://www.universalorlando.com/tickets/hot-deals.html.
$99 7-day, 2-park ticket
Buy 3 nights hotel, get 2 more nights free
Layoff protection plan; deposits refunded if you lose your job before your trip.
Walt Disney World
Check Disney's website at http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/special-offers/ for current deals. Now featuring free Disney Dining Plan on 5-night, 6-day packages, valid for stays most nights Aug. 16 to Oct. 3.
Free admission on your birthday (http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/disneyparks/en_US/WhatWillYouCelebrate/index?name=FreeOnYourBirthdayPage), too.
SeaWorld
SeaWorld Orlando offers adult tickets at the kids' price, $64.95, with a second day free on its website (http://www.seaworld.com/Tickets/Visitors.aspx).
AAA offers one-day tickets for $58.50 (adult) and $49.50 (kids) to SeaWorld San Diego. (Here's the page for AAA discounts to all Busch-owned theme parks (http://commerce.4adventure.com/estore/scripts/skins/AAA/default.aspx).) The current Southern California AAA magazine promoted two Fun Cards for $119 and kids at half price using the promo code SWCAAASmr09, but that code had not yet been actived on the SeaWorld website when I tried it.
Busch Gardens
If you are in AAA, you can get Busch Gardens Williamsburg tickets for $51.95 (adult) and $41.95 (kids) using the Busch AAA link (http://commerce.4adventure.com/estore/scripts/skins/AAA/default.aspx).
At Busch Gardens Tampa, the BGT website offers (http://www.buschgardens.com/bgt2/Purchase/Visitors.aspx) adults at kids price, $59.95, with a second day free.
