I'm not sure if I got ripped off or not. I purchased a vacation package for $250 with the knowledge that I would be obligated to listed to a time share "orientation". The vacation is for 5 nights Orlando, 2 nights Daytona and a 2 night Cruise to the Bahamas. Has anyone been on one of these vacations? Are they for real? I sure hope so!

I fell for one of those once. They give you the choice of about 3 hotels to stay in, all of which are in seedy areas, and you have to pay something up front, which they say is refundable. I never took advantage of my "prizes" because of that.Remember the adage: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Please note that this answer was in dealing with a reputable nationally known company.........Not an unknown fly-by-night outfit. It depends. If you are looking for a cheap vacation and have a constitution of iron to help you sit through some of the high pressure sales tactics that may be used on you then YES it can be a good deal. But if you fold under pressure, can't take the pressure or just hate stringing people along ( Remember, this is a vacation to you but sales pitch to them) then the answer is NO.It also pays to read the fine print on the offer. I had a friend who went on one of these trips and as soon as he told the salesman " I'm not buying anything / I'm just here for the cheap vacation" He and his family were moved out of the Top notch accommodations to some Motel that was near the beach but not even close to being on it. I've also heard stories of people who did not go to the sales meeting (they sometimes give them different names) and were presented with a bill for the stay since the low rate they were given was based on giving them a chance to sell you something. If it is an unknown fly-by-night outfit then don't bother. There are too many big names in this game that won't screw you around.

It can be either one. You will have to look into the company and perhaps find someone that has dealt with them personally.
