please!? I am going to the beach in 2 weeks and just recovered from a surgery so I am in BAD shape. I am going to walk on the treadmill for 30 minutes a day until I go to the beach, but am looking for some eating tips to help me slim down a few pounds in this short amount of time. Nothing terribly un-healthy, but challenging is ok! Thank you!

Eat health food, vegetables, don't eat bread, swimming is great excercise and is great for toning as well. Don't drink fizzy drinks.
There's no such thing as a healthy crash diet. Watch your portion sizes, skip the junk food, and eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Keep up the exercise. Drink lots of water.

there's no such thing as a healthy crash diet. sorry. what i recommend is limit your intake of sodium and starch, cut out sweets, esp. sugary drinks (only water for you honey!), no fried food, no junk food, and limit portions sizes. remember, in order to lose weight your caloric intake has to be less than your caloric output. the average woman (and this is a general statement) is recommended to consume up to 1800 cal/day, so lower that to about 1500-1600 (any lower would be too unhealthy). i don't know how many pounds you were planning on dropping, but you probably won't drop more than 2 pounds a week (if that); but by limiting your sodium and starch intake, you should drop some "water weight". but keep it up and in about 2 months you should drop maybe a good 5-8 lbs, maybe more if you keep up the exercise daily. besides, it's a great way to get yourself into healthy habits that will last a lifetime. oh by the way strength training will increase your metabolism and give you the ability to burn calories even at rest so you might want to start working out with weights in addition to your cardio.
