A LOT. Depends on what countries you want to visit, what mode of transport you shall use, what accommodation are you going to have... my guess is you would need at LEAST 4000 dollars.

UK france & Germany are expensive most eastern european places are real cheap if you budget $50 a night for accommodation and say $50 a day to spend you should live quite well

i only had about 2000 euro on me and used my credit cards for hostels and the train. You save money on the train if you get a mulit stop pass, also book your hotels on line and look for deals. I stayed in a 4 star hotel for the same price as a hostel but i booked the night before i got there. I would recommend using credit cards for everything and use cash for food and taxis. I spent 2 weeks in Germany with 2000 euro and did not spend it all so it depends on how long you are going to stay, and what country's you are going to
well...depending on the country...let's say that your in Europe all ready...than it's not that expensive...western Europe is a bit expensive...but further you go to eastern Europe the prices go down (beware of surprises) in Greece there are vacations with only 150-200€ 7 days...2 star Hotels...and than again there is expensive ones...depending on what you want...
