they got a boat you can get on boat that cruises up and down the ocean. u can see dolphins and stuff but i wouldn't recommend it because I got seasick and barfed all over the boat. Stop at the information center on your way in and pick up some pamplets. ya, USS IOWA is close by in Norfolk.

The Cape Henry Lighthouse. The Chesapeake Bay bridge-tunnel. You are not too far from Colonial Williamsburg. It's been years since I've been there. There are some good golf courses there too, some of the best municipal courses in the country.

the beach, the bridge and lots of tourists shops. stay away from the restaurants in the tourists area. I can't remember the name of the seafood place that was so great, but I think it was Dick's, its huge, kind of expensive and its not on the beach ask a local. Don't buy the Herment crabs or fish they will probably both die within a few days. The broad walk at night is great, lots of circus type activities going on there. Rent a bike for the boardwalk to ride at night. Expect to pay money to walk to the end of the pier, its a rip off so I don't recommend it. The beach was great, and the people mostly nice although lots of tourists makes for crowds. There is also a terrific Christmas shop again sorry can not remeber the name but again ask a local or look in one of the tourist books.
