My boyfriend and I want to go to the beach for vacation, but we also like

nightlife, where should we go? We are both students and we both work. We have just started traveling. (ages 23 & 24) Last summer we went to myrtle beach...which was really nice because we had and oceanfront hotel and it was a $5 taxi ride to all the clubs at Broadway at the Beach, and it wasn't extremely expensive. We are from the east coast and would like to go to the beach again (just not myrtle, we want to try something new)....any suggestions of a nice oceanfront spot, fun nightlife, and shopping? I would love some input!!:-)

Panama City, FL is a good option for nightlife. There are tons of clubs and beautiful beaches here. But my favorite beach on the panhandle of Florida is around Destin. It is about an hour west of Panama City. There is still tons to do (and MUCH better shopping). There is an awesome outlet mall in Destin and lots of great restaurants and other stores. The area is nicer than Panama City and not that far, so if you really wanted to get to the clubs on Panama City Beach, it's not too far to drive. But there is also lots of nightlife in Destin.
