Then they get stranded in the mountain, and the Feds go on the rescue. Don't you think it's an abuse of taxpayers dollars?

Rich kids or not, if you go mountain climbing and need rescue, you should pay for it, or don't expect it to be there next time.

the feds don't "go on rescue", it's state or county run and the majority of the SAR people are volunteer, if you are going to troll at least try to get your facts right
