Caribbean & Carnival? Never been on a cruise before and curious which ones are more young, single person friendly.

From your question, it fairly easy. Royal Caribbean would probably be for your parents and Carnival is like Vegas on a ship. Start the party in the parking lot and keep it going. What happens on the ship stays on the ship.

I think Carnival would be best for you. Carnival is extremely laid-back(they do have formal nights still of course). Princess is probably the fanciest, with lots of older people. Younger people tend to pick Carnival. Try visiting their websites:http://www.carnival.com/http://www.royalcaribbean.com/http://www.princess.com/http://www.ncl.com/nclweb/home.html

We have only been on 2 different cruise lines, but we do learn a lot about the other lines from visiting people during the cruise. We have been on Carnival 4 times and Princess once. We found Princess to be less inclusive then Carnival. Princess charges extra for juices, lattes, and cappichino. Princess did, however, have a 7 foot deep heated, fresh water pool on the Lido Deck.We have been advised by the other guests that Celebrety and Holland America are more for the older crowd and thus have a lot of people with walkers and power chairs on board. Point: lines move slower than molassis in January. We are seriously think of trying Royal Caribbean in the future. For the most part, no cruise line is bad. You will have a blast.
