what is a good, cheap bed and breakfast around northern california??

Cheap in California? There's not a lot of cheap anything in California. I did stay in this quaint place in Arcata, Ca. that was very reasonable. Arcata is just north of Eureka. The climate is similar to San Fransisco. Arcata is like stepping back into the 60's. Health food, hippie intellectuals, marijuana harvest festival, tie dyes etc. When I was there the city just passed a law making one day a week (Wednesday I think) topless day in the park. Seems the local women were upset that men could walk around without a shirt, but women couldn't. So, the city made it legal for both sexes, but only 1 day a week. Any way, back to your question. The old Hotel Arcata has been renovated to it's past elegance. What a quality place to stay! I don't remember the prices, but, I do remember a suite was very reasonable. I hope it is still as it was when I visited, and I hope you have an opportunity to try it for yourself! Bon Voyage.......
