I wouldn't say it is a great hotel but the price is great Edward Hotel in Paddington on Spring Street it's one block away from paddington station so your only at most 10 min away from anywhere in central london

There's a couple I like in the area. My favorite is the City Inn Westminster. It's not far from Parliament, some rooms have a view of the Thames, and it's really modern (only a few years old). They have a great bar/lounge and fitness center too. I also like the Hilton Paddington, but it can be expensive. However, it's right on top of Paddington Station making transportation easy. The rooms were beautiful, tall ceilings, large bathrooms - this is an amazing place.
