Go to Aspen Colorado by car. Test drive a sort of mini-Alps. If you like that, you'll adore the Alps.

Yes for sure - actually most places in Switzerland. It is safe . beautiful ( exquisitely so) really interesting architecture. Everything works and everything is clean. Look at renting a cottage (self catering) for a few days if your are traveling with family. On the negative - people generally a bit snooty and bland. Pricey.Truly a place to relax Have a great time

I've never been. Im sure it would be beautiful but cold. I wanna go someplace warm and sunny.

don't go to st. moritz or gstaad as these are places just stuffed with horrid newly rich russians and the like. i love and adore and have been there many times: www.sils.ch, a place not far from st. moritz but not so loud and brash.
