Try to find the best Institution in ur city or country, because without proper training you will never be a good photographer you should learn technical tectics.Try to find out the Kodak training centre in your country because i know they provide best service in photographic training.Dont buy SLR now because without proper guidence it will be loss of money.RegardsSyed

Go apply for a photography course, then they will train you in the techniques you require, then your just going to have to be lucky a find a job at a magazine that is extreme sports orientated, or you could freelance by just going round to the competitions snapping a few shots and selling them to a magazine or news paper.

To be an extreme sports photographer you need to do 2 things: get a super fast camera (SLR) and get right in the middle of the action. This means that you'll stick a honking big camera in front of your face and* jump in the path of speeding BMX bikes* hang upside down from cliffs* jump out of planes* and so forthThis is very exciting but it also requires insane skill as a photographer. Start by practicing photography skills in safety. Get an SLR camera (you can start with a Canon 350XT or a Nikon D50 for around $700) and take thousands of action shots from a distance. When you get to the point where you can whip out your camera and nail every shot in a split second (good exposure, good composition, good focus), you're ready to move in closer. When you have a couple of dozen great action shots up close, you're ready to look for a job as an extreme sports photographer!
