hotel kitchen if I am not a trained chef? I am a great food fanatic and cook well but I am not a trained chef. what kind of work could i get in Paris and what would the pay be like? In situ contacts would be greatly appreciated (e-mail and website references). p.s. i am from New Zealand.

This is a completely uneducated guess, only based on pure speculation.I doubt you can get a job in cooking without any training any place in the world. Although, you may be able to become an apprentice and train under someone else, if you qualify their standards. Or you can work at a McDonalds, they're everyplace @_@.Hope this helps.

you probably can... as a dishwasher and if you have a nice chef.. they'll give you hints and what's better they can teach you ... of course this road is hard and long

If you're just going to France to try to live there, you have no idea how hard it is to get citizenship, work, or even a bank account over there, let alone benefits. For at least ten years you'll be among the "sans papiers," those living in France without legal status.Do your homework before you buy a one-way ticket to Paris or you might find yourself without a means of purchasing a flight home. Why not try for work in Belgium or Luxembourg? Or, see if there are other EU countries who welcome immigrants with red carpets.
